Leila Zand is the Director of Fellowship of Reconciliation's Task Force on the Middle East. She is an Iranian-American who lived in Iran during the Iran-Iraq war and the reform years of the late 1990s. As leader of FOR delegations to Iran, she helps to create a bridge of understanding between the people of the Middle East and people of the United States.

Larry Everest writes for Revolution newspaper (, and is the author of Oil, Power & Empire: Iraq and the U.S. Global Agenda. In 1979 and 1980, he covered the Iranian revolution, reporting from Tehran, including interviewing Islamists holding the U.S. Embassy, and Iranian Kurdestan. He's also reported from Iraq, Palestine, and India; testified before the 2005 World Tribunal on Iraq in Istanbul; and helped organize the 2005-2006 Bush Crimes Commission.

Ali Abdi is a PhD student at Yale in Anthropology. He was a student activist in Iran who participated in post-election protests there in the summer of 2009. Since leaving Iran in September 2009, a few months after the election, he has initiated a number of human-rights-related campaigns.
